Acknowledgment to the Italian cooperation

    First of all, we would like to express our grateful thanks to the Italian Cooperation for Development, for their financial support towards the realization of the new website of the Ministry of Public Health.

Through this important project, which forms a substantial part of the implementation of the e-government plan, the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health wishes to become a nationally/globally knowledge-based health ministry providing services with overwhelming value to the government, citizens and customers nationwide.

For this purpose, the strategy followed by the ministry was to identify the different need of the citizens, as a basis for an appropriate and relevant structuring of a website which would be able to offer services producing a maximum of responsiveness to those needs. The main aim of the ministry being to be known as a pioneer center of excellence for health related information and services.

Once again, we thank the Italian Cooperation for Development for its kind support in the implementation of this important project, contributing thereby to the Health Reform Program in Lebanon and we look forward to pursuing the collaboration in future projects aiming at reinforcing the Health Information System.
